As the Cindy Lauper song goes `Girls just wanna have fun’.  And you just know this is true when you see our girls swing into action to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of David Bluck, Charlotte Visser, Andrew Broadhurst and Camilla Cash.

The event kicked off with a ladies sewing bee at Dive 2000 accompanied by pizza, champagne and the unsuspecting pizza delivery man mobbed by our girls looking for a model to adorn with their veils!

All our boys were smart enough to retreat to the Oaks hotel long before the girls got into this state.

Sunday 28 September found our Bridal Dive Day party at Shelly Beach gearing up in the warm, sunny spring weather adorned with wetsuits, colourful veils, bow ties and yes, even a bottle of champagne for the dive. This was the easy part, co-ordinating an entire bridal party for underwater group shots was another story but our pre wedding photographer, Kevin Deacon, is a genius at capturing the difficult, the impossible takes him a bit longer!

The event captured it was time to pop the champagne, David Bluck managed very well and we are sure the fish really enjoyed it. If you noticed the wobbegongs seemed a bit more wobbly at Shelly Beach that day, now you know why!

Post dive ashore our hungry party were treated to a feast of chicken, prawns, cold cuts, salads, pasta and of course, some of Carolyn Washington’s great cakes. Naturally this was washed down with champagne as our girls were pretty thirsty, especially since they had witnessed David Bluck sacrificing a perfectly good bottle of champagne to the fish!
