Fairy Bower, a favourite dive site for our annual Ladies Dive Day, didn’t disappoint.

Our divas welcomed the opportunity to dive and snorkel together, enjoying the clear, calm conditions.  A monster wobbegong shark was a big attraction on the dive and everyone had fun discovering Nudibranchs, a friendly Blue Groper and black Stingray just to name a few.

After our dive & snorkel, we made our way over to the Cammeray Golf Club to join more of our ladies who were keen to participate in the breakfast part of our morning.  For them, a cosy sleep in was too tempting to consider joining our divers on the brisk morning dive.

Brekky, alfresco style was on the club balcony with beautiful views over the golf course.  It was delightful sipping sparkling wine, laughing & catching up on girly news and being served delicious food including Hot Smoked Salmon or Bacon Eggs Benedict, Roasted Field Mushrooms, basil & cheese or Fresh Fruit Salad with Yoghurt and Berry Compote.

A very special part of our event was the donation of a Sea Life Reefmaster Camera valued at $499 by Chrissy Sekulic to a diver who met certain criteria to be eligible to receive this gift.  Our unanimous choice was Carolyn Washington who we felt had the right passion for diving and the same desire to capture and share pictures of marine life, just like her benefactor, Chrissy.

Just for some more fun, our ladies knowledge of diving was put to the test with a quiz of topics ranging from Dive History to Dive Equipment and Marine Life.  Winners of the 2 bottles of Sparkling Wine were Marian Shaw and Liz Brodie.

A popular feature of the breakfast was the range of designer jewellery presented by Katie Bourchier.  The ladies indulged in some retail therapy, selecting jewellery for gifts and for themselves.

Every lady received a beautiful crystal nail file decorated with Swarovski jewel crystals from Santa.
