Nelson Bay is one of our favourite dive locations for many reasons and the fabulous critters are a big part of it.

Carolyn Parrish used her time in the area this February very well to capture this seahorse clinging to his chosen bit of sponge.

Carolyn took this picture as part of Kevin's 'Beyond the Basics' photo course held regularly in Nelson Bay.

Diving around the Sydney region is a joy, especially as we get to see some unquie species such as our favourites - Weedy Sea Dragons.

Grant Pearce has captured this beautiful shot of a seadragon hovering over the sand with his Canon compact camera and its built in flash.

Paul has featured regularly in our monthly photos over the last 5 years, but how can you argue with such great subjects and images.

This time he was back at one of his favourite photo spots Bare Island when 5 minutes into the dive his capable spotter Peter Simpson found what they where looking for...Sydney Pygmy Pipehorse.

This was taken with his Nikon F80, 60mm lens in Sea & Sea Housing and twin SB 105 Strobes. Setting of 1/60 @ f16. Film Fuji Provia 100. And Paul says "NO PHOTOSHOP!! Who needs it anyway?"
