Papua New Guinea offers some great diving and Kavieng is said to be the big fish capital of PNG. Whilst not living up to reputation, the Dive 2000 group had good times and much fun at other people's expense, as always!

Diane, Ian and Jennifer have just come back from the Dive 2000 trip to Kavieng, in Papua New Guinea. The trip was the last trip to be made in the area by the Mike Ball boat, Paradise Sport, before it is retired from service. As usual, the terrible trio got up to all sorts of antics, resuming where they left off in Townsville. This is their story!

A short plane flight from Sydney, New Zealand offers quite varied diving around North Island and South Island: from diving on the historically signficant Rainbow Warrior and the HMNZS Tui to the cruise liner Mikhail Lemotov to the world reknowned Poor Knights Marine Reserve and the various fiords of Fiordland. Our trip to New Zealand managed to just scratch the surface.

In 1967, as part of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme, the old township of Jindabyne was relocated to a new site and the old town was flooded. So what does a scuba diver do? Well, there is water, there are things to see underwater, you have the means - well, you dive the old township, of course.
