Photographer and instructor Brent Hedges is one of our regulars for the Australia Day long weekend onboard Ocean Trek in Jervis Bay.

After throwing off his pirate costume (see below) from the night before, Brent captured something special at the 'Docks' on the north side of the bay.  This Velvetfish was about 15cm long and sitting on a large kelp frond just waiting for keen-eyed Brent to come along.

Brent shot this portrait with his Nikon D200 in a Seacam housing with his 105mm macro lens.
