Every winter the seals return to Jervis Bay. We look forward to the opportunity to meet them and our winter Jervis Bay holiday weekends are always scheduled with this in mind. This year we have some very good news from our friends Mick & Lyn, operators of MV Oceantrek.

A whole new colony of very friendly seals have established themselves at the dive site, Drum & Drumsticks.

This is very exciting as this site is more sheltered than the other seal colony at Steamers Beach which gives us a higher success rate at getting there and also offers other great dive options including the shipwreck SS Wandra.

Lyn has captured the first pictures of this new colony and we can’t wait to visit them on our winter Jervis Bay weekends. We have several options for you if you would like to meet the seals and experience the great diving Jervis Bay has to offer. During August 15 –16 & November 14-15 we have the excellent live aboard dive vessel MV Oceantrek available with hosts, Kevin & Cherie Deacon from Dive 2000 and owners Mick & Lyn. Trip details click here.

Keen photographers might like to consider joining our Oceantrek trip October Long Weekend which also includes a photo competition `Shoot Out’ with a fabulous prize! October 3,4 & 5.  Ask us in the showroom for details.

For those who prefer land-based accommodation we have a weekend booked at a dive lodge with an excellent day boat to speed you to the seals. This weekend is hosted by one of our great dive masters and veteran of Jervis Bay diving, Jean Paul, October 24 & 25.  Trip details click here.

Don’t let the winter scare you off, MV Oceantrek has a hot shower on the dive deck, we have some dry suits for hire or consider our new and affordable undergarment range from Probe for extra winter warmth. You can even do a dry suit course during your MV Oceantrek weekend.
